FIS Budget Roll Success
The annual Budget Roll process was completed successfully on Saturday, 8/08/09. Fiscal Year 2009 is now closed and FIS is open again for FY10 activity. Please contact fis_probs@ucsc.edu for any questions.

FIS UNAVAILABLE after 5pm on Friday, August 7, 2009
The annual Budget Roll process and related activities begin this Friday, August 7, at 5pm. All users must be logged off by 5pm on Friday. FIS will again be open for user activity by 7am on Sunday, August 9. The first day Inception-to-Date reports will be available to run in FIS for FY10 is Wednesday, August 12. The first day Inception-to-Date reports will be available to run in Data Warehouse for FY10 is Thursday, August 13. FIS Fiscal Close Processing COMPLETE
The fiscal close General Ledger and Encumbrance Rolls were successfully completed on Saturday, 7/11. All fund balances and open encumbrances were rolled forward into FY10. All documents must now have a transaction date in July 2009 in order to post to the ledger.

FY09 General Ledger/Encumbrance Roll Schedule
The fiscal close General Ledger & Encumbrance Roll activities are scheduled to begin at 5pm, Friday, July 10. All users must log off FIS by 5pm, Friday, July 10. FIS will be open for user activity again by 7am, Sunday, July 12. For more information on fiscal close processing, please see the FY09 Fiscal Close Calendar.

FY09 Documents in Approval Queues
All FY09 documents must be out of approval queues by 5pm, Friday, July 10. Any remaining FY09 documents in any approval queue after 5pm, Friday, July 10 will be disapproved. A list of any disapproved documents will be sent to fis_user@ucsc.edu; they can be re-completed with a July date starting July 13.

Due to operating system maintenance, FIS will be unavailable from 7:00am on Saturday, 4/18/2009 until sometime Sunday, 4/19. E-mail will be sent to the fis_user maillist when FIS is back up, which will be no later than 7:00am Monday morning, 4/20/2009.

FIS Oracle 10g Upgrade Complete
The Oracle database on which FIS resides has been successfully upgraded to version 10g. Please let us know at fis_probs@ucsc.edu if you experience any system problems.

FIS Oracle 10g Upgrade
The Oracle database on which FIS resides will be upgraded to version 10g in January. FIS will be UNAVAILABLE beginning at 2pm on Friday, January 23, 2009 until 7am on Monday, January 26, 2009. There will be no change in FIS functionality or look-and-feel due to the Oracle upgrade.

Due to electrical maintenance work in the Data Center, FIS will be unavailable
from 7:00pm on Saturday, 9/13/2008 until sometime Sunday, 9/14/2008. E-mail will
be sent to the fis_user maillist when FIS is back up, which will be no later than
7:00am Monday morning, 9/15/2008.
