Workstation Configuration

FIS is a web-based application that uses Java processes extensively. The browser you use to access FIS must be properly configured for optimum use of FIS. Most of the browser settings needed are default settings, so for most users, no changes will be necessary. However, we encourage you to review the Browser Configuration page (links below) for your platform and verify your browser settings.

In addition, PC workstations must have Sun Microsystems’ Java Plug-in installed in order to run FIS forms.

PC Users :

[Note: Windows Vista is not yet certified by Oracle for use with applications such as FIS Banner. We regret that we will not be able to assist with FIS problems arising from the use of Vista.]
